Marie Stitzel –
Purchased in wide width; struggling with both hallux ridigus AND PTTD simultaneously; wearing an aircast for the PTTD. The width of this shoe for a WIDE is less than adequate. My last two toes are constantly numb and painful because the shoe is just not wide enough. I am struggling to find an appropriately wide shoe that won’t damage my last 2 toes. I spent $200 on these shoes and am incredibly disappointed. There should be some sort of recourse for this; trying them on in-store and wearing them for 5 minutes is not enough of a test to determine viability; even wearing them at home isn’t sufficient. Taking out the insole doesn’t help either; it did not provide more space as suggested. I am a nurse and am on my feet all the time. Currently searching for something more adequate to accommodate my feet.
